About Shirley

Shirley Zhen is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who earned her Master of Science in Nursing and Master of Public Health from Yale University. She has trained in a range of clinical settings, including outpatient, inpatient, home-based, pediatric, and geriatric psychiatry. Shirley has experience treating a wide variety of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and psychosis.

Prior to private practice, Shirley worked as a psychiatric nurse practitioner at a community health center, providing bilingual English and Cantonese health care and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to support patients across the lifespan. Her approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and culturally responsive, with an emphasis on building trust and creating individualized treatment plans tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals.
